Terms of Service for StoryMynd

Agreement to these Terms

By accessing or using StoryMynd, you agree to these Terms. If you use StoryMynd for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" includes that organization.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use StoryMynd. A separate written agreement signed by StoryMynd may override these Terms for the services covered by that agreement.

Accounts and eligibility

You may need an account to use the StoryMynd app. You must provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and promptly tell us if you believe your account has been compromised.

You are responsible for activity under your account and for making sure collaborators, team members, and invited users comply with these Terms.

Plans, billing, and access

StoryMynd may offer Starter, Studio, Production, trial, promotional, or custom plans. Plan names, limits, prices, features, and availability may change over time.

Paid subscriptions and related billing events may be processed by Stripe or another payment provider. You authorize applicable charges, taxes, renewals, and plan changes shown at checkout or in a written order. If payment fails, a subscription ends, or an account violates these Terms, StoryMynd may limit, suspend, or remove paid features.

Your content

You retain ownership of scripts, books, scenes, outlines, notes, drafts, rewrite instructions, and other content you add to StoryMynd. You grant StoryMynd a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, copy, transmit, display, process, and use your content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service.

You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for content you upload, paste, save, or share through StoryMynd.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse StoryMynd or help others misuse it. Prohibited conduct includes:

• Uploading or sharing unlawful, infringing, harmful, deceptive, abusive, or privacy-invasive content.
• Attempting to access accounts, projects, systems, data, or APIs without authorization.
• Interfering with service availability, security, rate limits, billing systems, or normal operation.
• Introducing malware, scraping in a way that harms the service, reverse engineering where prohibited, or bypassing usage controls.
• Using StoryMynd to violate laws, third-party rights, professional obligations, or contractual restrictions.

AI-assisted and writing tools

StoryMynd tools may help organize, rewrite, structure, or analyze writing projects. These tools are assistive and may produce incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable suggestions.

You are responsible for reviewing outputs, checking facts, clearing rights, and deciding whether generated or edited material is appropriate for your project.

Third-party services

StoryMynd may rely on third-party services for authentication, hosting, storage, payments, communications, analytics, security, and other operations. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy notices.

StoryMynd is not responsible for third-party services you choose to use outside StoryMynd, including external writing, AI, production, or publishing tools.

Service changes and availability

We may change, add, limit, suspend, or discontinue features, plans, or the service. We try to keep StoryMynd reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability.

We may perform maintenance, release updates, address security issues, or make changes required by providers, laws, or operational needs.

Disclaimers and liability

StoryMynd is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoryMynd will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or costs of substitute services.

Termination and contact

You may stop using StoryMynd at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the service or other users, fail to pay amounts owed, or if we are required to do so by law.
